The use of POP has been deprecated since the introduction of staffmail and
has always been restricted to the University's network. POP will
now become unsupported and will be withdrawn completely in future. To allow
time for people to transition to using IMAP, POP users may use the
following server but we strongly urge you to convert:
pop.staffmail.ed.ac.uk
You should set the option to use SSL or encryption for POP.
