UNIXhelp home pageUNIXhelp is designed to provide a flexible introduction and reference for users of the UNIX operating system. It was developed at the University of Edinburgh under funding from the ITTI. Currently UNIXhelp is freely distributable for non-commercial use.
The product exists in two main forms:
An extensively hypertexted version for the World Wide Web, packaged
with scripts for searching and the automatic generation of manual
pages. Latest release is version 1.3, January 1996. Instructions for
downloading the source pages and setting up a
local mirror are included with the text.

Edinburgh local installation
A "flat text" version in PostScript which is most suitable for
printing out. This is no longer supported, and prints as A5-sized pages
on A4 sheets with reprographic crop-marks.
